We set out to develop an application specifically designed for schools, used by students, teachers, and guardians. The main idea of the app is to utilize questions that assess students' well-being, emotional states, and factors related to their learning.

Through these questions, we can gather information about students' moods, social relationships, and the impact of their learning environment. The goal is to create a comprehensive tool that not only supports students' development but also helps teachers and guardians better understand the needs and challenges of the students.

With the app, teachers can receive timely feedback on their students' well-being, allowing for earlier intervention in potential issues. Guardians, in turn, can monitor their children's well-being and engage more actively in their learning process.


Case

Edulyzer is a survey and analytics application designed for processing data collected within school communities. We provide an easy-to-use and fast way to gather data from key stakeholders in the school ecosystem – teachers, students, principals, and guardians.

We understand that education professionals are busy, and we don't want to overwhelm them. Our promise is simple: one one-minute question every school day can change the way you see your school community. The data collected helps open up a new perspective on the functioning of the school.

For example, in a school with 350 students and teachers, around 67,000 data points are collected annually. If such schools existed in a municipality with eight schools, the total number of data points would exceed half a million. These data points offer a window into a new way of understanding the school, the individuals within it, and their potential. Most importantly, they provide an opportunity to lead and make decisions based on meaningful insights.

AI

The application utilizes artificial intelligence to enhance the assessment of students' well-being more accurately and efficiently. The AI analyzes the collected data and identifies patterns, helping to understand students' behavior and overall health. Additionally, it can provide tailored recommendations to teachers and guardians, enabling them to better support the students. During the workshop, we mapped out the target groups and their needs, which was a crucial part of the application design process. The goal was to understand the specific needs and challenges of different user groups, including students, teachers, and guardians.

Participants were divided into small groups to discuss and share their perspectives based on their roles and experiences. We gathered information about their expectations for the application, their main concerns, and the features that would be most beneficial to them.

This process provided us with valuable data that guided our design efforts, ensuring the application addresses the real needs of users. The mapping also helped us prioritize development tasks and make informed decisions about which features to focus on first.

Sketch and concept

The sketches helped to concretize ideas about how the application could function on mobile devices, taking into account small screens and various usage scenarios. The goal was to ensure that users could navigate the app quickly and effortlessly, access the information they needed, and perform tasks without unnecessary hassle.

Making custom components

Although we used a suitable component library for Vue.js, we had to create many custom components to meet the project's specific needs. This was necessary to implement particular functionalities and visual requirements that were not available in the ready-made components. By developing custom components, we were able to create a unique and user-friendly interface that accurately addressed user needs and project objectives.

Data visualized

The client was so satisfied with the final result that they ordered additional data visualization and dashboard development from us. This new project will enable them to utilize the collected data more effectively and make better decisions. The client's trust in us is a testament to our success in meeting their expectations and needs.
